Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to fill the role of Area Sales Manager – Sales in our poultry feed division. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the poultry feed industry and the ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve sales targets. They will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, developing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets for poultry feed products.
- Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to drive sales growth.
- Manage and direct the sales team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve the company’s objectives.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide feedback to the sales team on a regular basis.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors, resolving any issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to increase brand awareness and sales.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, assess market potential, and make recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor sales metrics and prepare sales reports, analyzing data and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the poultry feed industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and key stakeholders.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to identify market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of poultry farming and feed industry trends, products, and customer needs.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
