Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to fill the role of Area Sales Manager – Sales in our poultry feed division. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in the poultry feed industry and the ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve sales targets. They will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, developing sales strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets for poultry feed products.
  2. Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to drive sales growth.
  3. Manage and direct the sales team, providing leadership and guidance to achieve the company’s objectives.
  4. Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide feedback to the sales team on a regular basis.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors, resolving any issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to increase brand awareness and sales.
  7. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, assess market potential, and make recommendations to senior management.
  8. Monitor sales metrics and prepare sales reports, analyzing data and providing recommendations for improvement.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify opportunities and threats.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree would be advantageous.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the poultry feed industry.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and key stakeholders.
  6. Analytical and strategic thinking abilities to identify market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
  8. Knowledge of poultry farming and feed industry trends, products, and customer needs.
  9. Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
